“Your best work happens when you limit how much you work and maximize how much you live.” — Dan Koe

As a professional in the creative field, I have always vouched for this. While you do hone your skills working the “18 hour workdays” but the point is for anything creative — A brand brief, a design, a video, a podcast — A lot of your ideas will come from your life and your experiences.

Travelling, taking up hobbies and doing what you love will impact your work and life positively. Whenever I find myself stuck for ideas, I go for a walk or paint and listen to some music. The first step is to calm myself, the next step is to consume content that inspires me, I listen to podcasts and watch videos. By the end of it I am brimming with ideas!

This post is the first thing I am writing after coming back from a trip and I have a list of 10 other ideas for posts and blogs! So it’s okay to take a break, streamline your work and work when you are most productive because that is what matters!
